In implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, aimed at accelerating the compensation process for farmers and livestock breeders who suffered losses in the agricultural sector as a result of the recent fires, the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries launched, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the compensation operation for farmers and livestock breeders who sustained losses in various agricultural activities.
The compensation operation was launched in the wilaya of Jijel through the distribution of livestock to affected livestock breeders. The operation will continue across all affected wilayas, with the objective of enabling the resumption of agricultural activities as soon as possible.
As part of this operation, EPE SPA DCAS – Enterprise for the Development of Strategic Crops – contributed to supporting affected farmers and livestock breeders by mobilizing livestock, particularly cattle and sheep, as well as animal feed, as part of the efforts aimed at assisting them in resuming their agricultural activities and contributing to the compensation of losses caused by the fires.
