Perennial Crops Subsidiary
EPE SPA SODEAR
The SODEAR subsidiary specializes in the development of the tree crop sector and perennial crops. It includes 31 Agricultural Production Units spread across various regions of the country.
Agricultural Potential
- Total Agricultural Area (TAA): 19,431 hectares
- Utilized Agricultural Area (UAA): 7,393 hectares, including 5,087 hectares irrigated
The area currently dedicated to perennial crops reaches 4,681 hectares planted across all species.
Development Program
To strengthen this sector, a plantation program has been launched, including:
- 680 hectares of argan trees
- 74 hectares of pistachio trees
These programs aim to diversify agricultural production, enhance natural resources, and promote high-value crops.
Production Units Managed by SODEAR
In addition to the Agricultural Production Units, SODEAR also supervises five production units from the former GVAPRO Group, specialized in processing and enhancing agricultural products.
These include:
- SOTRAVIT Production Unit: Specialized in the production and valorization of wine products.
- SUDACO Production Unit: Specialized in the production and processing of dates and date derivatives.
- Two SOA Production Units: Dedicated to olive and olive oil production.
- AGRAL-AM Production Unit: Specialized in agro-food activities and agricultural product valorization.
These units contribute to processing and adding value to agricultural production, thereby strengthening the national agricultural value chain.
